Transport Act
The Transport Act is a law of Québec. As part of its mandate, the SAAQ enforces certain aspects of this law, which falls mainly under the responsibility of the Ministère des Transports.
The Transport Act in brief
This Québec law establishes rules that govern:
- modes of transportation
- the transportation of passengers, e.g. bus transport and transportation of school children
- the transportation of goods
The Canada Transportation Act (S.C. 1996, c. 10), governs transportation on a national basis.
