The Act respecting the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec establishes rules of governance and operation for the SAAQ, including rules applicable to the Fonds d'assurance automobile du Québec, of which the SAAQ is the trustee.

• the composition and operation of the SAAQ's Board of Directors
• the management methods for the Fonds d'assurance automobile du Québec, of which the SAAQ is the trustee and for which it collects insurance contributions
