Reimbursement of Occupational Therapy Expenses

If you were injured in a traffic accident, the SAAQ may reimburse occupational therapy treatments.

What you should know

Occupational therapy treatments can be reimbursed if:

• they are related to the accident and medically required
• they are provided by an occupational therapist who is a member of the Ordre des ergothérapeutes⁠ ⁠ du Québec

We may end the reimbursement of treatments should they no longer improve your physical condition.

We base our decision on the information provided by the occupational therapist and the clinical examination notes provided by the attending physician or specialized nurse practitioner.

Reimbursable amounts

Based on your needs and your situation, we will reimburse a set amount of sessions with your attending occupational therapist.

Claiming a reimbursement from the SAAQ

It is your occupational therapist who completes the reimbursement form and sends it to us with the supporting documents.
