Reimbursement of Dental Care Expenses
If you were injured in a traffic accident, the SAAQ may reimburse certain dental treatments and prostheses.
What you should know
You will be reimbursed:
- if the dental care is medically required and given to treat injuries directly related to the accident
AND
- if the care was given by a member of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec or the Ordre des denturologistes du Québec
Reimbursable amounts for dental care and prostheses
The maximum reimbursable amounts for dental care or a dental prosthesis are provided in the following documents:

Claiming reimbursement from the SAAQ
Expenses are reimbursed on presentation of an invoice that includes the following:
- name of the health care professional
- identification of the treated teeth
- pre-operative X-rays
- description of the care received or the prosthesis that was purchased, adjusted, repaired or replaced
- professional fees
Remember to write your claim number on the invoice.
Reimbursement claim form
It is your dentist or denturist who will complete the reimbursement claim form and send it to us with the supporting documents.
Make sure your claim number is written on the form.
