2019 Seat Belt Campaign

"Buckle up! In the front seat and in the back seat."
Each year on average, from 2013 to 2017:
approximately 54 people who were killed in a traffic accident were not wearing their seat belts
approximately 140 people who sustained serious injuries in a traffic accident were also not wearing their seat belts
The SAAQ’s 2019 campaign—“Buckle up! In the front seat and in the back seat.”—focuses once again on raising awareness regarding the importance of buckling up whether you’re in the front seat or the back seat of a vehicle.

Collision (collision)

Même si t’es le plus gros, sans ceinture, tu peux te retrouver en petits morceaux. (You may be the biggest, but without a seat belt, you could end up in small pieces.)
Sous l’eau (underwater)

Bien attaché, tu peux toujours t’en sortir, mais bien assommé, tu risques d’y rester. (If you’re buckled up, you can still escape; but if you’re knocked out, you might have no way out.)
Conducteur d’expérience (experienced driver)

Tes années sur la route ne feront jamais le même travail qu’une ceinture. (Your years on the road can’t do the same job as a seat belt.)
La ceinture héro (the seat belt hero)

La ceinture n’est pas un monstre, c’est un héros. (Your seat belt isn’t a monster—it’s a hero.)
Amis (friends)

Se faire ramasser par ses chums, ce n’est jamais ben le fun. Pour éviter ça, qu’on soit assis à l’arrière ou à l’avant, s’attacher reste la meilleure solution. (Running into your buddies isn’t always fun. The best solution is to buckle up, whether you’re in the front seat or the back seat.)
