          Seat Belts

A seat belt reduces by half the risk of being killed or seriously injured in an accident. It's the best possible protection!

          • What the Law Says

The Highway Safety Code (HSC) is clear: wearing a seat belt correctly is mandatory. If you fail to do so, you face a fine and having 3 demerit points...

          • Seat Belts in Taxis and Rideshare Service Vehicles

The law is no different when you are in a taxi or using rideshare services! All passengers must fasten their seat belts.

          • Children and Seat Belts

If children are unable to fasten their seat belts, they must be placed in child safety seats that are appropriate for their weight and height.

          • Pregnant and Properly Buckled In

Seat belts restrict upper body movement and keep pregnant women and their babies as far away as possible from the steering wheel and dashboard.

          • Did You Know?

Seat belts reduce the risk of being killed or seriously injured in an accident by half. Buckling up could save your life!
