Information for accident victims

The Bell Relay service supports communication by phone between hearing people and people who are deaf or hard of hearing, or who have speech disorders. Professionally trained operators act as intermediaries to facilitate the call.

You can go to one of the Service du contrôle routier offices open across Québec.

To make a confidential report regarding the transportation of goods and passengers, you can use the online form or call 1-866-471-1CRQ (1277).

Identity theft

Identity theft happens when someone uses your personal information, such as:

  • your name
  • your address
  • your driver's licence number
  • your registration certificate number
  • your licence plate number

What to do in the event of identity theft

Step 1 – File a complaint with your local police department

Step 2 – Check your driving record

Step 3 – If the identity theft has had an impact on your file at the SAAQ, send us: 

  • a copy of the police report filled out and signed by the officer who recorded the complaint, or the report number 
  • a copy of the documents submitted along with the complaint
