Appointment to Have Driving Experience Acquired Outside Québec Recognized

If you hold a valid driver's licence issued outside Québec, you are allowed to drive on Québec roads for six months. After six months, if you decide to settle in Québec, you will be required to hold a Québec licence.

To request an appointment, fill out the form below. Based on the analysis of your file, we will email or call you within Approximately 30 days of receiving the form to let you know the next steps.

Depending on your situation, you may need to take the knowledge and road tests.

Before submitting this form, you must do the following:

    What is the length of your stay in Canada?
    Have you held a driver’s licence for more than 12 months?
    Do you need to hold a Québec driver’s licence in order to drive your employer’s vehicle?
