The 2023 Distraction campaign – “Keep Your Mind on the Road” – aims to raise awareness among drivers of the importance of staying focused on the road. Many sources of distraction can divert a driver’s attention from the road and interfere with driving. These sources may be inside or outside the vehicle, or internal or external to the driver. When drivers are distracted, it is much more difficult for them to avoid an obstacle or react appropriately to something unexpected. Driver distraction can have serious consequences.
