2019 Health of Drivers Campaign

“Your Health Condition May Cause an Accident”

The 2019 campaign—“Your Health Condition May Cause an Accident”—aims to inform drivers that their health condition may affect their ability to drive a vehicle, regardless of their age.

Certain medical conditions, such as diabetes, epilepsy, or sleep apnea, increase a driver’s risk of being involved in an accident if they are not controlled.

In Québec, all drivers must meet certain requirements with regard to their state of health and vision. They are also required to notify the SAAQ of any changes to their physical or mental condition that could hinder their ability to drive.
