Annulez un accident (Call off an accident)
The scene is set in a residential area, where a person is driving a little too fast and a young girl is riding her bike. In this situation, can a tragic outcome be avoided?
To raise public awareness about the consequences of speeding, the 2012 campaign – “Call off an Accident” – introduced two new messages targeting all drivers, but mainly men aged 25 to 44.
The purpose of these messages was for drivers to realize that, even though their state of mind may sometimes make them drive faster, they have the power to reduce the risk and consequences of an accident. To accomplish this, drivers are asked to think about how they drive and slow down to avoid causing an accident.
If every driver cut their average driving speed, we would considerably reduce the number of injuries and deaths on Québec roads every year.
Commercial broadcast on French-language television from May 14 to June 10, 2012
