National Impaired Driving Prevention Week

March 17 to 23 is National Impaired Driving Prevention Week, which aims to draw attention to this important road safety issue that year after year continues to kill or injure too many Quebecers.

As part of these efforts, the SAAQ is joining forces with Québec’s police services to remind people of the role we all can play in reducing the number of victims killed or injured as a result of alcohol-or drug-impaired driving.

On average, one quarter of all traffic fatalities each year can be attributed to drinking and driving. In many cases, the driver involved was seen having too much to drink. When we see someone who has had too much to drink, too much is at stake. Talk to the person. Call the police. By reaching out, we can help save lives.

Together, we can ensure fewer people are killed or injured on our roads.
