Publication of statistical reports on the 2022 road safety record
The SAAQ has published two statistical reports containing a wealth of supplementary information on the 2022 road safety record (documents available in French only).

This statistical report is a summary of the central information stored in the SAAQ’s operational systems. It covers statistics on traffic accidents, traffic accident victims, driver’s licence holders and vehicles on the road.
A few statistics
- 28,715 traffic accident victims (an increase of 810 compared to 2021)
- 5,734,325 Québec driver's licence holders (an increase of 1.4 % compared to 2021)
- 7,058,605 vehicles on the road (an increase of 0.9 % compared to 2021)
Bilan routier régional 2022 (2022 Regional road safety record)
This statistical report charts changes in the number and type of traffic accidents, as well as the number of victims. The report provides a statistical comparison of the data over the last six years across Québec’s administrative regions, municipalities and regional county municipalities (MRCs).
