A stay outside Québec
ChangeOnce you have returned to Québec, you may request a new licence if your current licence has been expired or cancelled for fewer than 3 years, or you can exchange your licence issued elsewhere in Canada or in another country for a Québec licence.
You may exchange this licence for a Québec licence without having to take the proficiency examinationsProficiency examinations allow the SAAQ to check the knowledge and skills of drivers.
