The SAAQ’s 2017 campaign – “Cannabis slows down reaction times” – aims to make drivers aware of the harmful effects that cannabis has on driving, especially when it comes to reaction times, which become longer.
Drugs were detected in the bloodstream of approximately 32% of drivers killed in a traffic accident between 2011 and 2015. Cannabis was the most frequently detected drug.
A commercial will be broadcast on French-language specialty channels, online and on social media from April 17 to May 14, 2017 and from October 23 to November 13, 2017.
