2007 Pedestrians Campaign
"Pedestrians and Motorists, Be Vigilant!"
In 2007, the SAAQ launched Pedestrian Month, a pedestrian awareness campaign, in effect from October 1 to 31. The campaign was just one of many events throughout the year that focused on reducing the number of traffic accident victims and improving road safety.
During Pedestrian Month, a radio ad on the theme "Pedestrians and Motorists, Be Vigilant!" was broadcast to encourage pedestrians and motorists to obey road signs and traffic signals and to remain vigilant and courteous at all times on the road.
80% of traffic accidents can be attributed to behaviour.
