SAAQ to Undergo a Transformation

Québec’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility today announced the creation of a restructuring unit for the SAAQ.

This independent unit will be charged with proposing key strategies in the short- to-medium term that will enable the SAAQ to move forward, regain public trust and rebuild a solid financial footing. These strategies will be presented to the SAAQ Board of Directors and the Deputy Premier and Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility and will be developed in tandem with the recommendations to come out of the Gallant Commission.

The goal is a profound and lasting transformation of the SAAQ. In addition to developing these key strategies, the Management Committee also plans to launch an organizational recovery plan in the fall of 2025 that will focus on implementing practical and measurable solutions aligned with the needs of the population.   

These restructuring and recovery measures are complementary. They aim to regain public trust, improve client experience and rally SAAQ employees behind a new vision for the organization.
