The 2012 campaign – “Don't Text and Drive” – targeted all drivers, but especially those under age 35, and cautioned motorists against the dangers of texting at the wheel.
This campaign was also the opportunity to launch Focus Mode, an application for Android devices that blocks incoming calls and text messages. It can be downloaded free of charge from Google Play.
The number of drivers found guilty of an offence for using a cell phone at the wheel has been on the rise since 2008.

Avant, on n'écrivait pas de messages en conduisant. Y avait sûrement une bonne raison. (We didn’t use to write messages while driving. There must have been a good reason.)
The message presents four scenes that show drivers through time. With an approach that combines humour and drama, the commercial illustrates how quickly an accident can happen when a driver’s attention is diverted by a demanding task such as texting.
