Tabling of the 2023 annual report

The SAAQ's 2023 annual report (PDF, 10.1 MB)⁠ ⁠ (available in French only) has been tabled in the National Assembly of Québec by Deputy Premier and Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility Geneviève Guilbault.

Here are some highlights:

• Surplus capital for 2024, resulting in
  • $600 million returned to the majority of driver’s licence holders in the form of a new payment holiday
  • $52 million in insurance coverage improvements
  • $44 million more invested in road safety initiatives
• Lowest insurance contributions in Canada
• 6.4% fewer traffic accident victims when compared to the average for the last 5 years
• More than one million SAAQclic accounts created
• Creation of SAAQclic helpdesks in all service centres
