It’s Not the Same Thing

Mechanic: Yesterday this guy came into the garage with his hatchback

Doctor (woman): Yesterday this woman came into the hospital with a broken back.

Mechanic: Nothing serious. The hood’s is just a little scratched.

Doctor (woman): It’s serious. One of her vertebrae snapped.

Mechanic: The windshield’s as good as ever.

Doctor (woman): Her spinal cord’s been severed.

Mechanic: It should be fixed by the weekend.

Doctor (woman): She may never walk again.

Annonceur: The damage can’t be compared.

Please, look out for pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists. They’re more vulnerable than you are.
