The proposed insurance contributions for 2023 are presented below.
Note that, for 2022 and 2023, holders of a Class 5 (passenger vehicle) or 6 (motorcycle) driver’s licence—with the exception of learner drivers—will benefit from a payment holiday from the insurance contribution applicable to the issuance or renewal of a driver’s licence. They will only have to pay licence fees, administrative fees and the insurance contribution applicable to any accumulated demerit points.
The payment holiday only applies to licences issued for a period of 12 months or longer.
