2016 Drinking and Driving Campaign

A driver’s friends and family are part of the solution when it comes to drinking and driving. Friends, family members, and colleagues can play an important role by intervening in order to make sure that someone close to them does not drive while impaired.

The 2016 SAAQ campaign, “Stop your loved ones from drinking and driving” targets at-risk drivers’ friends and family.

The holiday season is a time for family gatherings and parties with friends, which means more opportunities to go out for a drink. If you are with family or friends who have been drinking, do not let them drive. Take their keys, drive them yourself, pay for a taxi, offer them a place to stay, but whatever you do, stop them from driving.
