Alcofrein Program

Alcofrein is an education program that aims to increase the participants' awareness about the effects of alcohol- and drug-related problems in order to prevent repeat offences.

What is the Alcofrein program?

The following aspects of impaired driving are addressed:

  • Personal, social, financial and legal consequences
  • Myths and beliefs about alcohol, drugs, and driving
  • Alternative solutions

For whom is the program intended?

This program is for any person convicted of a first impaired-driving offence and who must undergo a summary assessment:

How long does the program last?

An Alcofrein session lasts three hours.

How much does it cost?

Each participant must pay $150 to participate in the session.
