Making an Appointment for a Driving Test – Motorcycles (Classes 6R, 6A, 6B and 6C)

You can make an appointment online for a knowledge or road test to obtain a Class 6R, 6A, 6B or 6C driver's licence.


You can make an appointment for the month of February for a knowledge test. Please note that motorcycle, moped and scooter road tests ended on October 30.

If you cannot make it to your appointment, please change or cancel your appointment as soon as possible to allow another person to take your place.

To make an appointment for a test to obtain a Class 6R, 6A, 6B or 6C driver's licence to operate a motorcycle, you must be at least 16 years of age. For the road test, you must have taken a driving course in a school recognized by the SAAQ.

Please note that in order to make an appointment for a Class 6 knowledge test using our online services, you must have a file number at the SAAQ. If you do not have a file at the SAAQ, please contact us:

On the day of the test


Make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time of your road test. This time is necessary to put our health measures in place.

You must wear a face covering in all our service outlets, including during knowledge and road tests.

Approximate duration of the tests

Knowledge test: 1 hour

Closed track road test: 15 minutes per candidate (There are 8 to 15 candidates per group and candidates can leave once they have completed their test.)

Road test: 1 hour
