Simplified authentication process to create a SAAQclic account in nine Québec regions

A simplified process to create a Government Authentication Service account is now available at 16 SAAQ service centres, making it easier to access SAAQclic.

In addition to being able to access online services independently, clients can receive assistance at the following service centres:

  • Langelier (Montréal)
  • Gatineau
  • Laval
  • Longueuil
  • Lebourgneuf
  • Drummondville
  • Victoriaville
  • Thetford Mines
  • Matane
  • Gaspé
  • Alma
  • Saguenay
  • Roberval
  • Rouyn-Noranda
  • La Sarre
  • Sherbrooke

At these service centres, since your identity is verified in the presence of a staff member, you simply need to present two pieces of photo identification, for example, your health insurance card and driver’s licence. If you do not have a driver’s licence, you can present another official document, such as a passport or a birth certificate issued by the Directeur de l’état civil. You can also obtain assistance to carry out operations using SAAQclic.

Remember that using SAAQclic is the best way to avoid waiting in line at service centres. Simplifying the government authentication process in service centres is part of the action plan announced on March 5, allowing clients to create their online accounts simply and securely.

Two mobile units will also be travelling around Québec to promote SAAQclic at service centres.

To find locations offering in-person identity verification, click on the “Service Outlets” tab at the top of the SAAQ website and select “Identity verification” from the list of subjects.
