Today, October 25, 2018, Sherbrooke will be affected by the rotating strike at Canada Post.
Although accident victims’ compensation cheques and documents related to operations will be sent as usual, this temporary strike may result in slower mail distribution for part of Québec.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers announced the start of the rotating strike on Monday, October 22, 2018, when the negotiating parties failed to reach an agreement. This strike consists of mail delivery interruptions that last 24 consecutive hours, affecting mail service in alternating Canadian municipalities.
