Temporary rebate on vehicle registration starting September 2026

The Premier of Québec and the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility have announced a temporary $50 rebate on vehicle registration for gas, diesel, hybrid and plug-in hybrid passenger vehicles. This measure aims to offset the rising cost of living for vehicle owners. 

This rebate will be applied to registration renewal fees and will be in effect for a 12-month period from  September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027.
