Winter tires are mandatory from December 1, 2021 to March 15, 2022.
However, it is recommended that you install them as of now. That way, you can avoid a last-minute rush to the auto shop and being surprised by winter. Temperatures often dip below 7˚C before December 1 and there can be snow or ice on the road. When that happens, winter tires in good condition provide greater traction on the road for your safety and the safety of others.
Starting winter with a properly outfitted vehicle is part of adapted winter driving. Also, remember to slow down and keep a safe distance with other vehicles. You need to change your tires and adapt your driving to get through winter safely.
