Road Safety Record: Overall Rise in Number of Accident Victims in 2025

The Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec has just released statistics from the 2025 road safety record.

Comparison with 2024

    371, which is 8 fewer
  • Victims with serious injuries
    1,282, which is 1 more 
  • Victims with minor injuries
    28,365, which is 1,632 more 

The 2025 road safety record shows an increase in the number of accident victims, particularly those with minor injuries. In total, 30,018 people were injured or killed in an automobile accident, which is 1,625 more than in 2024. 

It should be noted that the number of vehicles on the road and driver’s licence holders continues to grow each year.
