          • Obtaining a Motorcycle Driver's Licence (Classes 6A, 6B and 6C)

            To obtain a Class 6A, 6B or 6C motorcycle driver's licence, you have to pass a knowledge test, take a course, and pass 2 road tests. 

          • 3-wheel motorcycles (Class 6E)

            To obtain a Class 6E licence, you must hold a Class 5 licence and complete a one-day training course.

          • Driving a 3-Wheel Vehicle

            A 3-wheel T-Rex- or Slingshot-type vehicle must be registered as a motorcycle and you must hold a Class 5 licence in order to be authorized to drive one.

          • Correcting Information on a Driver's Licence

            If an error appears on your driver's licence or if you wish to change some information, you must notify the SAAQ.

          • Conditions Added to a Driver's Licence

            Conditions added to a driver's licence are mainly related to the state of health of drivers and may impose restrictions on their driving.

          • Driving Record Request

            You can request a copy of a driving record for yourself or other drivers with their authorization.

          • International Driving Permit

            You must hold an international driving permit if you are from another country and are staying in Québec for more than 6 months.

          • Restricted Licence Related to a Conviction for Alcohol-Impaired Driving

            A restricted licence issued after a conviction for alcohol-impaired driving authorizes its holder to only operate a vehicle equipped with an alcohol ignition interlock device.

          • Restricted Licence Related to an Accumulation of Demerit Points

            If your licence has been revoked as a result of an accumulation of demerit points, a court could grant you a restricted licence so you can continue working.

          • Demerit Points

            In Québec, all individuals who drive a vehicle are subject to a system of demerit points that accumulate when they are found guilty of an offence.

          • Vehicle Seizure and Recovery

            When peace officers detect a serious Highway Safety Code offence, they can seize a vehicle for 7, 30 or 90 days. The owner may recover the vehicle no later than 10 days after the end of the impoundment period.
